
Accordingly, at 10:10 a.m. the same day, Squadron 2 received a report from the vehicle owner, Manh Cuong Company, about the sinking of the ship due to bad weather and big waves.
The ship in distress, numbered SG-8149, was captained by Mr. Le Thanh Nam (born in 1970, residing in Ward 9, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City). At that time, there were 5 crew members on board, and the ship was 15 nautical miles from Tran De Fishing Port.
After receiving the news, Squadron 2 mobilized 7 officers and soldiers on patrol duty at sea to the location of the ship in distress and deployed rescue plans.

At 10:40 a.m., the ship of Squadron 2 approached and rescued 5 crew members who boarded the ship safely and brought them to the wharf of Squadron 2 Border Guard at 1:30 p.m. the same day.
Immediately afterwards, the unit sent military doctors to provide initial health checks for the crew members.
Currently, the health of the 5 crew members is good.
Soc Trang Provincial Border Guard also completed procedures to hand over the crew members to Manh Cuong Company.
