In particular, comrade Nguyen Ho Hai emphasized that the unit should focus on Party building, continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, democracy, and unity in leadership, direction, and implementation of tasks. At the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to building forces, promptly deploying and responding to all situations, especially in the context of increasingly frequent and dangerous natural disasters and epidemics.

At the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Tu Thanh Khong, Commander of the Defense Command of Region 1 - Bac Lieu said: The unit was assigned the task of defending the area of 25 communes and wards (belonging to the old Bac Lieu province that has not been merged). This is a new and unprecedented operational model, so the implementation process must be done while learning from experience to suit local characteristics, contributing to building a solid regional defense posture.

Since its establishment, the activities of the Defense Command of Region 1 - Bac Lieu have always received the attention and leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the departments, branches and sectors of the province, especially the regular and direct direction from the Party Committee of the Provincial Military Command and the guidance of the provincial military agencies. In addition, the unit has received a new Command Headquarters, which has been invested in to ensure good working, eating and living conditions for officers and soldiers.

Lieutenant Colonel Tu Thanh Khong added: In the coming time, the Defense Command of Region 1 - Bac Lieu will continue to strictly maintain combat readiness, especially during the protection of important political events of the country and the locality; ensure the safety of the Command Center and the stationed area. At the same time, ensure smooth communication, be ready to command and handle situations; regularly organize combat plan exercises to avoid passivity and surprise. The unit will strengthen the work of grasping and managing the internal political situation, the ideology of cadres and party members after implementing the work of the two-level local government; strengthen the work of grasping the local situation; well implement the military and military rear policies. At the same time, develop a plan to protect the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.
