Social Insurance Region XXXIII was established on the basis of merging the Social Insurance of 2 units: Dong Thap Province and Tien Giang Province, with headquarters located in Tien Giang Province and officially put into operation from June 1, 2025. The total number of employees and workers as of June 1, 2025 is 408 people.
In recent times, emulation movements in the social insurance sector have been vigorously implemented, making an important contribution to ensuring social security in the region. The emulation movements respond to the Government 's launches, typically including the movements: "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" for the period 2021 - 2025; emulation "For the poor - No one is left behind" for the period 2021 - 2025; "Cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to implement office culture" for the period 2019 - 2025; "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift, fighting waste"; "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promoting lifelong learning for the period 2023 - 2030"; "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025"...

The Social Insurance sector also launched annual emulation movements with the theme "Civil servants and public employees of the Social Insurance sector uphold the spirit of solidarity and responsibility; strive to excellently complete their tasks"; emulate in implementing the development of participants in voluntary social insurance, health insurance (HI), unemployment insurance (UI); administrative reform and application of information technology, promoting digital transformation... to create maximum convenience for people and businesses when carrying out transactions and procedures related to social insurance policies...

In general, the emulation movement of Social Insurance in Region XXXIII has many positive changes, gradually innovating in content and form; being implemented methodically and scientifically, with specific and practical criteria and content, closely following the assigned tasks; the emulation movements launched have all received response and voluntary participation from all officials and employees; creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere, associated with the efforts of each unit and individual.
The results of the emulation movements have contributed to ensuring social security in the region, motivating collectives and individuals in the entire social insurance system to strive to excellently complete annual political tasks.
Accordingly, the number of people participating in social insurance and health insurance has increased rapidly over the years, reaching and exceeding the plan assigned by superiors every year, specifically: In Dong Thap province, as of May 31, 2025, there were 1,504,571 people participating in health insurance, 49,915 people higher than in 2020; 108,183 people participating in compulsory social insurance, 10,269 people higher than in 2020; 29,134 people participating in voluntary social insurance, 12,530 people higher than in 2020.

In Tien Giang province: As of May 31, 2025, there were 1,592,839 people participating in health insurance, 82,110 people higher than in 2020; 211,959 people participating in compulsory social insurance, 21,278 people higher than in 2020 and 26,375 people participating in voluntary social insurance, 7,559 people higher than in 2020...
Through emulation movements, hundreds of grassroots initiatives have been applied in the practical activities of the regional social insurance sector, contributing to bringing social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies to a large number of workers and people. The regional social insurance sector has focused on giving priority to rewarding individuals who are direct workers with many creative and effective solutions in performing their tasks, actively participating in emulation movements, and exceeding assigned targets and tasks...
At the conference, delegates also had many discussions sharing solutions and good practices to increase the rate of people participating in social insurance and health insurance in recent times...
On this occasion, Social Insurance Region XXXIII commended and rewarded 16 collectives and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing patriotic emulation movements of the Vietnam Social Insurance sector in the period of 2020 - 2025.

The General Director of Vietnam Social Security awarded the title of "Excellent Labor Collective" to 3 collectives that had excellently completed their tasks in 2024 and awarded Certificates of Merit from the General Director of Vietnam Social Security to 16 individuals of Tien Giang Social Security who had excellent achievements in their work from 2023 to 2024.

The conference also awarded early retirement decisions according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP of the Government on policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and the Armed Forces in implementing the organizational arrangement of the political system to 8 officials and workers of Tien Giang Social Insurance and Dong Thap Social Insurance.
In addition, at the conference, Social Insurance Region XXXIII elected a list of 4 delegates to attend the Conference of advanced models of Vietnam Social Insurance and the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Finance sector.
