On the morning of July 2, a representative of Son Ca Island Infirmary informed that the unit had received and successfully treated fisherman D.L. (born in 1993, from Phan Ri Cua commune, Binh Thuan province), a crew member of fishing boat BT 97669TS.

On the evening of July 1, the patient was admitted to the hospital in a state of consciousness, slow response, headache, nausea, dry cough, fatigue, and scattered blisters all over the body. According to the patient, the symptoms of the disease appeared 2 days ago, with blisters the size of green beans scattered all over the body, increasing in number, accompanied by fever, dry cough, headache, and severe fatigue.

The patient applied the medicine himself, but it did not help. By the afternoon of July 1, he felt very tired, had a headache, felt nauseous, and vomited digestive juices.
