Owning the world's largest durian growing area, Hoang Anh Gia Lai has launched its largest ever recruitment campaign for technicians, even offering bonuses for referrals.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group of Mr. Duc currently owns about 2,000 hectares of durian (considered the largest in the world ), mainly high-end varieties such as Musang King and Monthong, spread across Vietnam and Laos. This is a major source of revenue for the company and will have much room for growth.

In the first quarter of this year, Hoang Anh Gia Lai achieved net revenue of VND1,380 billion, up 33% over the same period last year. Of which, the fruit segment (mainly bananas and durian) accounted for a large proportion with VND1,000 billion in revenue.

To develop and effectively exploit durian gardens, Mr. Duc's company has just announced the urgent recruitment of 100 technical staff with many attractive benefits, working at large-scale farms in Vietnam and Laos. Technical staff directly participate in supervising, monitoring the situation of the gardens and technical management at the farms.

This is the largest recruitment campaign of Hoang Anh Gia Lai in the agricultural sector since the beginning of the year, opening up stable job opportunities for young workers, especially recent graduates of secondary, college and university degrees in agriculture and related fields. Successful candidates will receive in-depth training in the technical process of planting and caring for durian according to international standards, and will also be responsible for managing and supervising workers at the farm. In addition to attractive salaries, those working in Laos will receive an additional 30% of their salary and 4 days off per month. The Group will cover all food and accommodation costs at the farm's dormitory, ensuring stable living conditions.

Not only that, Hoang Anh Gia Lai also has an attractive productivity bonus policy. Specifically, workers are rewarded based on fruit yield in the orchards, or based on harvest yield for large orchards. For example, in the 2024 crop season, workers at Dak Ram farm were rewarded up to 250 million VND for achieving high productivity. This is a great encouragement for technical groups and workers to work together to develop raw material areas effectively...

Previously, at the shareholders' meeting, Mr. Duc said that recruiting a bank director in Ho Chi Minh City is much easier than recruiting an agricultural farm director. HAGL has hundreds of directors and agricultural engineers "fighting" on farms in Laos and Cambodia. Some of them have been with HAGL for decades. That is why Mr. Duc always wants to show gratitude to them by issuing 12 million bonus shares to employees (ESOP). According to Mr. Duc, many large enterprises are currently shifting their investment to agriculture, if there are no good policies to retain them, they may leave for better places.
