On the evening of November 21, Ho Chi Minh City Police were still coordinating with relevant units to examine the scene and take statements from relevant people to clarify the cause of the murder and arson on Luu Huu Phuoc Street, Ward 15, District 8, which left 3 people dead.
According to initial information, at around 5:00 p.m. the same day, people living in alley 260, Luu Huu Phuoc street, ward 15 heard shouting and calling for help.
Upon checking, people discovered a man also running out of the house, then a fire broke out inside the house.
Receiving information from local people, local forces coordinated with District 8 Police to quickly extinguish the fire.
After the fire was brought under control, authorities discovered a woman in her 30s dead downstairs, and upstairs a three-year-old child and a 16-month-old child dead, suspected of smoke inhalation.
According to a witness: “Around 5 p.m., a man in a blue shirt knocked on the victim’s door. When the mother opened the door, the man suddenly rushed in, attacked her daughter with a knife, then set fire to the house.”
The police have arrested the young suspect and brought him to the headquarters to take his statement. At first, the suspect is suspected of killing the woman, then locking the door and setting it on fire.
