Nghe An Newspaper cooperated to give more than 50 million VND to support 3 households whose houses were swept away by flood in Nhon Mai to rebuild new houses.

On the morning of June 16, continuing to help people in the Nhon Mai flash flood area (Tuong Duong) stabilize their lives, local authorities and Nhon Mai Border Guard Station, on behalf of benefactors, presented money to support 3 households whose houses were swept away by the flood to build new houses.

On the morning of June 16, Nhon Mai Border Guard Station located in Nhon Mai Commune, Tuong Duong District, coordinated with local government officials to present more than 50 million VND from benefactors to 3 households whose houses were swept away by floods.

The flash flood that occurred in late May and early June 2025 in Nhon Mai commune affected dozens of households, causing them to lose their homes, fields, and property. Among them, 3 households had their houses completely swept away and are currently living with relatives and neighbors. These households are all in extremely difficult and lonely circumstances.

Representatives of Nhon Mai Border Guard Station, including Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thuong, Political Commissar , and officials of Nhon Mai Commune People's Committee, including Party Secretary Luong Van Hoa and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Vi Thi Huong, went to Na Hy and Tham Tham villages to give support money to households.

These are the households: Mrs. Lo Thi Hieu in Na Hy village; Mrs. Moong Thi Lan's household and Mr. Va Ba Cha's household in Tham Tham village. These are all poor households. Mrs. Lo Thi Hieu's husband passed away, she is currently raising her grandson born in 2010 who lost his mother, her son remarried and lives in another locality. Mrs. Moong Thi Lan's husband passed away, she alone raises two grandchildren born in 2014 and 2017 who lost both their parents.

The amount of 51.5 million VND was jointly called for by Nghe An Newspaper and Nhon Mai Border Guard Station, including small traders in Vinh market supporting 20 million VND; Vietnam - Japan International Exchange Organization supporting 30 million VND; pharmacist Thai Thuy Lam in Ho Chi Minh City supporting 1.5 million VND.

It is known that in addition to the money just donated this morning, agencies and organizations in Tuong Duong district have also been calling for support for Nhon Mai people to overcome the consequences of flash floods, 3 households have also been supported with some funds to build new houses before the flood season.
