Ensure the best condition for vehicles participating in parades and marches

On July 22, a working delegation of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering led by Lieutenant General Tran Minh Duc, Director of the General Department, inspected and encouraged forces to carry out the parade and marching tasks in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (task A80). The delegation included leaders and commanders of functional agencies under the General Department of Logistics and Engineering.

During the inspection, for the vehicle force, the units reported to the inspection team the results of the technical assurance work for the vehicles since the last inspection. The focus was on the technical condition of the vehicles, paint color, maneuverability...; especially the work of ensuring safety for the vehicles during the time when storm No. 3 (Wipha) made landfall in our country, causing strong winds and heavy rain in the assembly area.

Through the actual inspection, the working group assessed that the units had thoroughly grasped the instructions of their superiors, closely coordinated with relevant forces to build and organize well the gathering locations for vehicles and technical equipment in accordance with regulations and safety; and done a good job of managing, preserving, and maintaining weapons, equipment, and military equipment to prepare for practicing and performing the tasks of parades and marches.

Lieutenant General Tran Minh Duc noted that there are some technical equipment and vehicles that have been in use for a long time and have high operating intensity, so the technical security force needs to regularly check for abnormal signs, systems: Brakes, ignition, cooling...; technical condition of chains, tires, and must be organized to fix immediately to perform tasks, ensuring absolute safety for people and vehicles.

At the same time, forces need to strengthen technical training in vehicle repair, maintenance, and rescue; master backup gasoline and electricity plans, and plans for unusual damage that may occur.

Party committees and commanders of units need to regularly pay attention and take care to ensure adequate regimes and standards for cadres and management staff, and ensure technical safety for vehicles because this is one of the hardest-working forces.

Emphasizing that the time from now until the preliminary review, final rehearsal and main ceremony is not long, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Duc reminded the forces to concentrate their spirit to the highest level, overcome all difficulties in weather conditions, warehouses, yards, supplies, equipment... to ensure the best condition for the vehicles serving the A80 mission.

At the meeting, to encourage the forces of 244 female soldiers of the female medical officers; drivers, vehicle technical support forces and 78 female soldiers of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering participating in mission A80, on behalf of the General Department's leadership, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Duc acknowledged and commended the forces for not being afraid of the sun or rain, promoting the highest spirit of focusing on training and joint practice for the parade.

The Chief of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering requested that the forces continue to thoroughly grasp the important political tasks assigned; take advantage of every time to actively practice, strictly abide by discipline, demonstrate solidarity, and contribute to demonstrating the discipline, unity and strength of the Vietnam People's Army at the upcoming 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
