“Throughout the journey of nearly 80 years of fighting, building and growing, in all conditions and circumstances, the armed forces of Military Region 7 have always had the support of central and local press agencies and the Army,” affirmed Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc - Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 7.

Recently, with many particularly important events assigned to Military Region 7 by the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense, press agencies have always accompanied and supported Military Region 7 to successfully complete its tasks.

In 2024 and the first 6 months of 2025, the Military Region 7 has completed all military and defense tasks, some of which have been excellent. Notably, it has always maintained a peaceful and stable environment for localities to develop their socio-economy, leading the country. The results of that development have been regularly, continuously and comprehensively reported on all types of press.

In particular, implementing the policy of merging provinces and communes, dissolving provincial Border Guard Commands and district-level Military Commands; building a lean, strong, and modern Army, Military Region 7 received the Dak Nong Provincial Military Command (under Military Region 5) into Military Region 7 and merged it into Lam Dong Provincial Military Command. Merging the Border Guard Command into the Military Commands of provinces and cities and establishing 4 Border Guard Commands under the Ho Chi Minh City Command and the Military Commands of 3 provinces; establishing 19 regional defense commands. In carrying out this task, the press has truly become an important information channel and a reliable source of support to help Military Region 7 do a good job of ideological work and maintain stability throughout the force. That is one of the important bases for Military Region 7 to prepare well in all aspects, ensuring that the dissolution, new establishment, handover, and transfer are not interrupted.

The most effective and efficient support and accompaniment of news agencies and newspapers can be seen most clearly on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
