Developed on the basis of inheriting the Culture - Arts Section, the Huong Sac Lang Ho Program was launched on KRT channel of Radio and Television Station, now Kon Tum Provincial Media Center from 2022, including 02 sections: Preserving Cultural Colors; Authors - Works and Old Fragrance Section.
The program is broadcasted monthly on KRT channel. With a duration of 25 minutes/episode, the content focuses on the unique culture and art of Kon Tum, especially the culture of ethnic minorities.
Realistic footage of traditional brocade weaving; unique festivals; the taste of mountain and forest cuisine to the treasure of traditional music of ethnic minorities in Kon Tum have been realistically and vividly portrayed on the screen and on the radio. This is not only a meaningful spiritual food for the audience and listeners of KRT, but more importantly, through each broadcast, the unique imprints of the land and people of Kon Tum in general, and the traditional culture of ethnic minorities in particular, have been recorded and spread further. Journalist Linh Thuy - Deputy Head of Section - Topic, Kon Tum Provincial Media Center, said: " In the process of implementing the Huong Sac Lang Ho Program, the cultural element is the main material, the thread running through the process of telling the story of Kon Tum land from its origin to the present time. Right from the name Huong Sac Lang Ho, it is associated with the place name Lang Ho . This is not only a unique and new approach to content but also evokes pride in the land with its deep cultural and historical depth. For the same reason, our team of reporters, editors, and cameramen always strive so that the cultural story is not only told but also vividly presented on the screen."
Kon Tum - a land with a history of more than 110 years of formation and development is a place where the cultures of 43 ethnic groups live together. Through many historical changes, the ethnic people here still preserve, cherish and continue the good traditional cultural values. In the midst of that diverse and rich flow, Kon Tum press has been persistently contributing to preserving the culture of the great forest with reports, columns and topics maintained periodically on publications and channels of Kon Tum Provincial Media Center such as the Program "Huong sac lang ho"; "KRT Experience"; Kon Tum land and people… Journalist Hoang Thanh shared: “ First of all, we can mention the language barrier. When approaching reality, we have to be more patient, and we also need support from grassroots cultural officials and knowledgeable people to get information. Secondly, culture is also a sensitive topic, so we have to be careful in our articles, otherwise we can spread false information or affect the community we write about. Each article, for me, also needs to be authentic, and the information must be verified through many sources to ensure the most reliable. Finally, each article is not only providing information but also conveying a message to everyone, thereby calling for their cooperation in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.”
It can be said that from the sound of gongs echoing in the great forest to the proud roof of the communal house, from community festivals to simple folk songs… all have been told through images and words – with the passion of journalists. Mr. Phan Van Hoang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Kon Tum province, affirmed: " With its strong and widespread influence, the press has contributed significantly to the dissemination of the good traditional cultural values of ethnic groups in the province; especially for the Central Highlands cultural space in general and Kon Tum province in particular. For the industry, we have also coordinated with press agencies in promoting and introducing the traditional culture of ethnic minorities in Kon Tum province in the past time. In the coming time, we will continue to coordinate more closely in the work of propagating and promoting the good traditional cultural values of the people in order to spread, introduce and promote to the public at home and abroad the cultural values of ethnic minorities in the province."
In the journey to preserve Kon Tum's cultural identity, the press has been constantly innovating and transforming towards digitalization to adapt to the times, improving the quality and depth of each work. From print to digital platforms, traditional cultural stories are told through vivid images, profound commentary and close perspectives. When technology becomes a tool and passion becomes a fulcrum, Kon Tum's press has more power to spread cultural depth to the public of many generations. Each work is not only a slice of memory, but also a bridge connecting the present and the origin, between the community and the heritage. It is a silent but persistent journey, full of responsibility and creativity. The press not only contributes to preserving, but also revives values that are at risk of gradually fading over time./.
