Handing over charity houses to households in difficult circumstances in Cao Loc district

- On the morning of June 6, the Provincial Red Cross Society (RCS) coordinated with the People's Committee of Cao Loc district to organize a program to hand over a charity house to the family of Mr. Mao Van Quy (born in 1988), Tam Rien village, Hoa Cu commune, Cao Loc district.

Delegates pulled the ribbon to inaugurate the charity house for Mao Van Quy's family, Tam Rien village, Hoa Cu commune, Cao Loc district.

Mr. Quy's family is poor and has difficulty with housing; both husband and wife are freelancers but their jobs are unstable so they cannot afford to build a new house.

Knowing the difficult circumstances of the family, the Provincial Red Cross Society and the District Red Cross Society called on and mobilized resources from benefactors to support the construction of a new house for the family. Up to now, after more than 1 month of construction, the 60 m2 level 4 house with a total construction cost of nearly 160 million VND has been completed. Of which, the Provincial Red Cross Society and the Lang Son City Charity Group supported cash and paint with a total value of 130 million VND, the remaining amount was matched by the family.

Leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society and delegates presented gifts to the family of Mr. Mao Van Quy, Tam Rien village, Hoa Cu commune, Cao Loc district.

At the handover ceremony, organizations and unions presented Mr. Quy's family with many practical and meaningful gifts.

This is a clever mass mobilization model chosen by the Provincial Red Cross Association Party Cell as a project to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, creating more resources to help the poor and poor households rebuild their houses, thereby contributing to eliminating dilapidated houses, stabilizing their lives and helping people have better living conditions.
