According to Bloomberg news agency, Apple is expected to launch many new products in the first half of 2026, notably the low-cost iPhone 17e, a series of new iPads and upgraded Mac lines.
The new lineup will include upgraded versions of the base iPad and iPad Air, a Mac display, and new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models powered by the M5 chip, according to people familiar with the matter. The iPhone 17e, the successor to the $599 version launched earlier this year, will be powered by the A19 chip, similar to the iPhone 17 line, instead of the current A18.
The new iPads, which could arrive in March or April 2026, will retain the current design but use faster processors. The base $349 iPad successor will get a new chip to replace the A16. The iPad Air, meanwhile, will upgrade from an M3 to an M4 chip but won’t change much in appearance. The new versions, including the best-selling 13-inch model, will keep their price tag around $800.
Apple is also preparing to launch the iPad Pro with the M5 chip as early as October, with a starting price of $999. This line has not been updated since May last year.
On the computer side, Apple is planning to delay the launch of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip until early next year, instead of later this year as originally planned. This could be the last MacBook Pro line to retain the current design launched from 2021, before switching to a new design and equipped with an OLED screen with a more modern, high-end display than traditional LCD screens.
New MacBook Air models, along with a new Mac display that will follow the Apple Studio Display in 2022, are also expected to appear in the first half of 2026.
In addition, Apple continues to develop a new smart home hub device. This product was expected to be launched in March of this year but was delayed due to its dependence on an update to its virtual assistant Siri. The device could be released next year.
The early 2026 product plans are expected to help Apple regain momentum in revenue growth after a decline in consumer demand in the past two years, especially due to the slow pace of new iPad launches. Previously, Apple maintained its schedule of major upgrades this fall, including a thinner iPhone 17, redesigned Pro models - expected to launch on September 9, new Apple Watches in both the low-end and high-end segments, upgraded iPad Pros and faster Vision Pro headphones.
Apple declined to comment on the above information./.
