An Giang jubilantly opens new school year

Rewarding teachers who achieved titles of Long Xuyen High School.

In An Giang, 1,355 units and schools across the province simultaneously organized school activities and opened the new school year according to the program of the Ministry of Education and Training .

The 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) and the opening of the 2025-2026 school year were solemnly held at the National Convention Center (Hanoi); broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television; connected online to all educational institutions from kindergarten to university across the country.

According to the Department of Education and Training of An Giang , in the 2025-2026 school year, the whole province has 1,355 units and schools. By the end of September 4, the whole province had 700,134 students in class, including: 78,201 preschool children, 294,525 primary school students, 214,577 secondary school students, 95,864 high school students and 16,967 students in the regular education system. This school year, the entire education and training sector of An Giang province has 48,281 managers, teachers and staff, of which 39,692 teachers directly teach.

Implementing the theme "Discipline - Creativity - Breakthrough - Development", in the new school year, An Giang Department of Education and Training continues to effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program; continues to innovate teaching methods synchronously, focusing on taking learners as the center and testing and evaluation to ensure fairness, objectivity and suitability; promotes the proactiveness and creativity of the school and the autonomy and flexibility of professional groups and teachers.

Director of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang Province, Tran Quang Bao, emphasized: “In the 2025-2026 school year, the education and training sector of the province will focus on improving the quality of mass education and key education, striving to improve the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam and the exams for excellent students at all levels. Promote digital transformation and technology application in management, teaching and learning. Continue to effectively implement two key emulation movements of the education and training sector of the province, which are student ethics education and building clean toilets with new goals and effectively implement the coordination regulations between the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committees of 102 communes, wards and special zones, in order to achieve the assigned targets and tasks”.
