Beautiful architecture of Van Linh Pagoda on the "roof" of the West

Van Linh Pagoda lies peacefully next to Thuy Liem Lake on the top of Cam Mountain.

Van Linh Pagoda is located on the top of Cam Mountain, more than 700m above sea level. Previously, Van Linh Pagoda was called La Pagoda, because it was built from trees and leaves around 1927. Later, the pagoda was built spaciously and became a famous spiritual tourist destination.

Van Linh Pagoda was built with beautiful architecture. In the temple grounds, there are many stupas, notably the stupa of the founder monk Thich Thien Quang (3 floors), the octagonal bell tower (2 floors), especially the 40m high Quan Am stupa, consisting of 7 floors, inspired by the model of Bodh Gaya in India. This stupa enshrines many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas carved from precious stones.

The main hall of Van Linh Pagoda is very beautiful. It is home to many magnificent and solemn Buddha statues. Among them, the meditating Buddha Shakyamuni statue in the middle of the main hall is carved from a single block of stone, weighing up to 2 tons. In the back of the hall, there is also a relief of Patriarch Bodhidharma, which is exquisitely and beautifully crafted.

In addition, in the temple grounds there are many beautiful structures such as Lumbini Garden, wax statue of Venerable Thich Tri Tinh, who had great merit in translating Mahayana sutras from Chinese to Vietnamese and spreading Pure Land Buddhism in our country...
