Bustling atmosphere, ready for the festival

On September 4, preparations for the opening ceremony at schools in An Giang province were bustling. All work was urgently completed to ensure a solemn, meaningful and safe ceremony, marking a good start for the 2025-2026 school year.

At school gates, flags and banners welcoming “National Day of Taking Children to School”, “Welcome to the new school year 2025 - 2026”, “Each teacher is an example of morality, self-study and creativity”… are hung brightly, creating an excited and joyful atmosphere.

Teachers and students from schools, from urban to rural areas, are busy with the final tasks to prepare for the big festival.

At Tinh Bien High School (Thoi Son Ward), one of the online connection points with the National Convention Center, the atmosphere was even more bustling. Managers, teachers and students urgently arranged tables and chairs, checked the sound system and decorated the school yard.

Ready for the new school year opening ceremony.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Ha Hung Son, Principal of Tinh Bien High School, said that on the morning of September 4, the school had a general rehearsal of the opening ceremony program. By noon of the same day, all basic preparations were completed, and teachers and students were ready to welcome the new school year.

“This year, the school is honored to be one of the online bridge points. The opening ceremony is expected to be attended by the Provincial Party Secretary and the Director of the Department of Education and Training. Identifying this as an important political task at the beginning of the school year, the school has assigned specific tasks to staff to prepare most carefully,” Mr. Son shared.

According to Mr. Son, the school has coordinated with the People's Committee of Thoi Son Ward and VNPT province to ensure safety, security and the best connection. In particular, the school has prepared a large LED screen; and has a backup plan for TVs in the hall and classrooms in case of rain, ensuring the ceremony goes smoothly.

Closely direct and support students in difficult areas

Before the opening ceremony, in addition to preparing facilities, many departments and organizations in An Giang also organized programs to support students in difficult circumstances.

The Youth Union of An Giang Provincial Police coordinated with Thuy Lieu 1 Primary School to organize the program "Helping children go to school", presenting 50 gifts, including backpacks and notebooks, to students.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Truong Van Quoc, Head of the Youth Department of An Giang Provincial Police, through this activity, the youth of the Police force wishes to join hands with the Education sector to care for and support students in disadvantaged areas, so that they have more confidence and determination to excel in their studies, nurturing their dreams for the future.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province issued a document requesting schools to speed up the progress of repairing, equipping facilities, cleaning and decorating classrooms; ensuring the best conditions for the opening of the new school year to meet the set requirements.

At the same time, the Department requires schools to hang flags and welcome banners in solemn locations of the school from August 30; propagate the purpose and meaning of the opening day of the new school year; guide students to practice singing the National Anthem, Youth Union Song, and Team Song, to educate patriotism and national pride.

The Department also requires all educational and training establishments in the area to arrange and prepare adequate transmission lines and equipment for online connection or via television channels; ensure traffic safety, security and order, and fire prevention during the ceremony...

At the opening ceremony, the Department of Education and Training requested schools to organize a concise ceremony that ends before 8:00 a.m. From 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., all delegates, teachers and students will fully participate in the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
