Alcaraz shows off his strength, advancing to the quarterfinals of China Open 2024

Carlos Alcaraz is a strong candidate for the championship at this year's tournament and in the second round, the Spanish star's opponent is Dutch player, Griekspoor.

The head-to-head record is heavily in Alcaraz's favour with three wins and one loss. Griekspoor won when the two players first met in 2021. In the three subsequent meetings, the Dutchman failed to win a set.

The difference in class continued to be clearly shown in the competition at China Open 2024, Alcaraz won with the scores of 6-1, 6-2 after only 2 sets to enter the quarterfinals.

Alcaraz's next opponent will be Russian seventh seed Khachanov. The match will take place at 3:00 p.m. on September 30.

In some other notable quarterfinal matches on September 30, Jannik Sinner will meet Lehecka (Czech Republic) at 6:00 p.m. and Dannil Medvedev will face Flavio Cobolli (Italy) at 3:00 p.m.
