This is the first inner-city television bridge in Ho Chi Minh City after the merger, a symphony connecting the past - present - future, paying tribute to previous generations, and affirming the aspiration to build a strong and civilized country together.

On September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. 80 years have passed, but that sacred moment still shines like a "star" guiding generations of Vietnamese people on the journey of building and defending the Fatherland.
Independence Star is not only a commemorative art program, but also a deep gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their blood, bones, and youth, leaving behind their unfinished dreams to the motherland so that the country can last forever, and the mountains and rivers can be united.
In the triumphal song of the nation, there still resound the deep notes of mothers, wives, and children seeing off their loved ones to battle, and then on the day of total victory, joy blends with nostalgia and gratitude.
The 30-year long struggle ended with the spring of national reunification in 1975, opening an era of independence, unity, and freedom. After reunification, the South, including Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau , united, actively innovated, and joined hands to develop.
In 2025, exactly 50 years after the country was reunited, the event of Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau officially "coming home" with Ho Chi Minh City (from July 1, 2025) is an important historical milestone, opening a new development stage for the most dynamic regional metropolis in the country.
The Independent Starlight Art Program is a fusion of modern technology and traditional art. Right from the start, the audience will be able to admire the laser light show, mapping combined with traditional music, affirming that history and present always go hand in hand in the nation's progress.
Outstanding performances such as Country of Love (Trong Tan - Anh Tho), the Independent Flame segment with the combination of choreography, LED - mapping - laser, and the participation of many famous artists create an artistic picture that is both majestic and emotional.
The highlight of the program was the choir "Proud Melody" combined with a 15-minute artistic fireworks display simultaneously at all 3 locations, turning the historic anniversary night into an unforgettable moment of sublimation, uniting millions of Vietnamese hearts in national pride.
The Star of Independence is a symphony of national pride, an opportunity for people to review together the 80-year journey of resilience and place their faith in the future. In the historic autumn atmosphere, the light of independence and freedom still shines, urging every Vietnamese to continue the tradition of their ancestors and join hands to build a strong and civilized country.
The Independent Star Art Program will be broadcast live at 7:30 p.m. on September 2 on HTV1 channel, and connected online from 3 locations: Saigon ward, Binh Duong ward and Vung Tau ward (HCMC).
In addition to the art night, at 9 p.m., Ho Chi Minh City will fire high-altitude fireworks at three locations: the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (An Khanh ward), the new city center (Binh Duong ward) and the central square of Bai Sau (Vung Tau ward). The low-altitude fireworks will be at Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi ward).
