77 candidates 'packed up' and crossed the forest, traveling across 2 provinces to the graduation exam site

77 students from Dak Lua Secondary and High School had to cross the forest, cross 2 districts of Lam Dong province and then go to Dong Nai to get to the graduation exam site 60km from school.

On June 25, Mr. Nguyen Van Luong, Vice Principal of Dak Lua Secondary and High School (Dak Lua Commune, Tan Phu District, Dong Nai ) said that the school coordinated with homeroom teachers and parents to rent a passenger car to take 77 grade 12 students to the exam site at Doan Ket High School (Tan Phu District) to attend the 2025 high school graduation exam.

These are candidates from Dac Lua commune, which is considered the most remote area of ​​Dong Nai province, located in the isolated Cat Tien National Park area, bordering 3 provinces of Dong Nai, Lam Dong and Binh Phuoc . This is an area with extremely difficult travel conditions, some candidates are also children of ethnic minorities.

“The distance from the commune to the exam site is about 60km, you have to go through the forest and go around 2 districts of Lam Dong province before joining Highway 20 to get to the exam site. Without support vehicles, traveling by yourself is extremely difficult,” Mr. Luong shared.

In addition, to ensure the rights and psychological stability of students, the school has mobilized parents to support the cost of renting a bus, and contacted the Tan Phu - Dinh Quan Inter-district Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities to arrange free accommodation for the students.

“We have agreed on a plan for meals and accommodation for the students to ensure their safety. In addition, teachers and parents will accompany the candidates to encourage them and provide support if any problems arise,” said Mr. Luong.

It is known that this is not the first time Dak Lua Secondary and High School has had to organize transportation for students to take the high school graduation exam. However, the support of the school, teachers and parents has helped students confidently enter the exam with higher determination.

This year, Dong Nai has 37,273 candidates registered for the exam, of which nearly 36,740 are high school and continuing education students; 822 are independent candidates. Compared to the 2024 exam, there is an increase of nearly 3,000 candidates.

The province has 64 examination sites with 1,645 examination rooms. Of these, 62 examination sites are for candidates taking the 2018 new general education program and 2 examination sites are for candidates taking the 2006 general education program.
