58 accommodation establishments have been recognized with valid class in Lao Cai province.

Recently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province announced and publicized 58 tourist accommodation establishments that have been recognized with valid ranks in Lao Cai province.

Of which, 5-star class has 4 hotels; 4-star class has 8 hotels; 3-star class has 11 hotels; 2-star class has 20 hotels; 1-star class has 15 hotels.

Muong Lo Hotel (Nghia Lo ward) is rated 3 stars.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the People's Committees of communes and wards to regularly review, update information, monitor, inspect and supervise the activities of tourist accommodation establishments in the management area. At the same time, request the Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association to disseminate information on the list of recognized tourist accommodation establishments to its members; encourage tourist accommodation establishments to improve service quality, reputation and tourism brand of Lao Cai province, and strictly comply with the provisions of law on ranking tourist accommodation establishments.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requests that organizations and individuals providing accommodation services that have been recognized maintain the quality of their tourist accommodation facilities according to the recognized type and class; when the recognition period expires, do not hang signs recognizing the tourist accommodation facility class and do not use the word "star" and star images to advertise the tourist accommodation facility class.

Accommodation facilities in the province are constantly investing in improving the quality of facilities.

Lao Cai province currently has 2,138 accommodation establishments with about 20,600 rooms and 740 homestays. In recent times, along with promoting the potential and strengths of climate, natural landscapes and ethnic cultures, accommodation establishments as well as tourism and travel businesses have continuously invested in infrastructure and improved the quality of services. From there, many attractive tourism products have been created to attract tourists.

In the first 7 months of 2025, the whole province is estimated to welcome 6,760,993 visitors, reaching 65.93% of the yearly plan, of which international visitors are estimated to reach 820,867; total revenue is estimated to reach 29,043 billion VND, reaching 62.52% of the yearly plan.
