503 million VND for durian analysis and appraisal

According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province, the agricultural sector is performing the task of analyzing and appraising durian samples to support the effective construction and development of concentrated raw material areas under the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in 2025.

Specifically, the Department of Agriculture will conduct quantitative analysis of pesticide residues and heavy metals on durian products and identify harmful organisms on durian products. Accordingly, 114 durian samples will be analyzed and 4 active ingredients of pesticide residues, Lead, Cadmium/01 sample; 114 durian samples will be analyzed; 6 species of organisms/1 sample. This will be the basis for the Department of Agriculture to adjust the sustainable durian cultivation process, build a safe concentrated raw material area towards the goal of export as well as domestic consumption. The budget for durian analysis and identification is 503 million VND from the state budget.
