5 hotels honored by American magazine as 'best in Vietnam 2025'

Anantara Hoi An is Vietnam's number one suburban hotel, while Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is the best city hotel, according to Travel + Leisure.

Vietnamese hotels were honored at the third Luxury Awards Asia-Pacific ceremony of the world- famous travel magazine Travel + Leisure in Bangkok, Thailand on the evening of June 18. With its long coastline, vibrant cities, rich national parks and many UNESCO heritage sites, Vietnam continues to be Asia's leading destination for luxury resorts.

In Vietnam, Luxury Awards honored hotels in five categories. Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi took first place in the category "Best City Hotel in Vietnam".

Located on Ngo Quyen Street, Hoan Kiem District, this luxury accommodation is the oldest hotel in the capital, built in 1901. Travel experts around the world have praised Metropole Hanoi as "a symbol of French colonial elegance with warm hospitality and established since 1901". The hotel has more than 350 rooms, with room rates starting from VND5.7 million.

The awards are based on votes from travel experts, readers and visitors who have visited the destinations. The Luxury Awards directly honors establishments in each country and territory, rather than regions. Therefore, the awards will not have categories such as the 10 best hotels in Asia, but instead list the best hotels in each country.

The first to be honored in the category of "Best Island and Beach Resort in Vietnam" is the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula. This accommodation also has a Michelin-starred restaurant and is the first restaurant in Da Nang to receive the prestigious award. Room rates at the resort start from VND24.6 million.

Described by Travel + Leisure experts as a place where time slows down in the heart of Hoi An, Anantara Hoi An is the top resort in the category of "Best Suburban Hotel in Vietnam".

Phu Quoc was in the list of "10 best islands in Asia - Pacific", holding the top 3 position.
