On the evening of July 28, the Ha Tinh Rare Blood Club received information from Ha Tinh General Hospital that patient VTV (born in 1967, in Viet Xuyen commune) had kidney failure and needed an urgent blood transfusion. The patient had blood type B Rh-, a very rare blood type (from 0.04% - 0.07% of the population).

Upon receiving the information, 3 members of the Ha Tinh Rare Blood Club, including Mr. Pham Hong Minh - Club Director; Major Pham Vuong Minh - Dong Kinh Commune Police, Vice Director of the Club and Ms. Le Thi Hong Lien, an officer at Dong Loc Commune Medical Center, promptly arrived to donate 3 units of blood to support the patient.
These are also individuals who actively participate in rare blood donation, when Mr. Hong Minh has donated blood 26 times, Ms. Hong Lien has donated blood 23 times and Mr. Vuong Minh has donated blood 13 times.

The Ha Tinh Rare Blood Club was established in 2014. Over the past time, club members have donated hundreds of units of rare blood, helping many patients overcome critical conditions. Since the beginning of the year, club members have donated nearly 10 units of blood to help patients.
Mr. Pham Hong Minh - Club Chairman shared: "With the spirit of "giving is forever", each member of the Club understands and is always enthusiastic and positive when patients need blood. We hope that this meaningful activity of the Club will spread, many people will know and join the Club to be able to help others and help themselves".
