23 localities complete elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses

By June 14, two more localities nationwide had completed the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses. Thus, to date, 23 out of 63 localities no longer have temporary or dilapidated houses.

The Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions said that the results of the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses last week showed that by June 14, 2025, two more localities, Hai Duong and Ca Mau, had completed the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses. Thereby, the total number of localities with no temporary or dilapidated houses is 23 out of 63 localities.

It is expected that these two provinces will organize an announcement on the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in June this year.

The Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions also added that some localities such as Kon Tum and Binh Thuan are continuing to review the number of temporary and dilapidated houses that need support.

According to the data reported by localities on the software updated by June 14, 2025, nationwide, 206,832 temporary and dilapidated houses have been supported to be eliminated. Of these, 155,501 houses were inaugurated and 51,331 houses were under construction or under construction.

Specifically, 28,237 houses were supported for people with revolutionary contributions; 52,409 houses under two national target programs and 126,186 houses under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Previously, on June 8, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 84/CD-TTg on focusing on completing the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide before August 31, 2025.

The telegram stated that, in order to continue promoting the achieved results; practically celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Prime Minister requested Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, Heads of the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in provinces and centrally run cities to focus on leading, directing and organizing the implementation more drastically, more quickly, and more effectively of the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025".

Determined to basically complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide before August 31, 2025; including housing support for relatives of martyrs and people who contributed to the revolution to be completed before July 27, 2025.

In implementation, ensure "6 clear: clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, clear results" and "4 truths: speak the truth, do the truth, be effective, and benefit the people".
