200 scholarships continue to be awarded by Tan Hiep Phat to disadvantaged students in Binh Duong

(To Quoc) - On October 28, Tan Hiep Phat Company continued to award 200 scholarships to disadvantaged students in Binh Duong , continuing the journey of helping children go to school in the series of scholarship awarding activities "Connecting love" in 4 provinces and cities.

"Connecting Love" Scholarships

From early morning, Ms. Dao Thi Hoa in Minh Thanh commune (Dau Tieng district) woke up to prepare dinner. Joy was kindled in her heart because she woke up early not to go to tap rubber as usual. This morning, she took her son to Thuan An city to receive a scholarship.

The mother and son arrived very early at the Thuan An City Youth Activity Center. After helping her son to his seat, Ms. Hoa told him that Hung was in 6th grade, but had an accident when he was young, so he had difficulty walking.

Every day, Ms. Hoa goes to tap latex, her husband works as a construction worker. The cost of living, medicine and school fees for the children often exceeds the family's ability to pay. This is the first time Hung has received a scholarship.

"The family thanks the benefactor very much. The scholarship not only covers tuition fees but also helps my child feel less self-conscious and more confident in overcoming difficulties to continue studying well," said Ms. Hoa.

Sitting next to her, Ms. Huynh Thi Hoa, parent of B.D.HH, a 6th grade student at Thuan Giao Secondary School, was in tears because she could not hold back her emotions.

Ms. Hoa said that her family has 5 children. Every day, she stays at home to take care of her 5 children and her seriously ill mother-in-law. Living expenses depend entirely on her husband's meager income.

Many times, teachers have given priority to let their children pay tuition in installments, instead of paying all at once because the amount is too large for the family's conditions. Due to difficult circumstances, the whole family currently lives together in a rented room in Thuan An City. But that does not discourage B.D.HH. She has been an excellent student for many years.

"The scholarship is not only material support but also a source of spiritual encouragement for my child to overcome obstacles in study and life," Ms. Hoa shared.

DTQ, a 7th grade student at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary School, An Thanh Ward (Thuan An City), said that her father is a motorbike taxi driver with an unstable income. Her mother works as an office worker. The cost of education for her and her sister, plus the cost of living, is higher than her parents' income, so the family faces many difficulties.

Confiding to us, DTQ said that she was still luckier than many other friends, because after all, she still had both her father and mother. She was very happy to be one of 200 students present in Thuan An City to receive the scholarship Connecting love - Stepping up to school.

The scholarship helps ease some of the difficulties in life for my family and my friends. "We will try our best to study well and become useful people so as not to disappoint the expectations of our teachers, local leaders, and sponsors," DTQ shared.

Continue to help students go to school

"Children are like buds on a branch / Knowing how to eat, sleep, and study is good." But not every child's or student's meals and sleep are complete; not every road to school is convenient.

Ms. Tran Thi Diem Trinh - Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union confided that the poem is gentle but always reminds everyone to make efforts to help children, especially those in difficult circumstances, rise above adversity.

The ceremony to present 200 scholarships of Connecting Love - Stepping Up to School in Binh Duong is the second round in the journey of presenting scholarships in 4 provinces and cities. Previously, on October 4, Tan Hiep Phat Company presented 200 scholarships to students from primary to high school in Hau Giang province.

Next, in mid-November, Tan Hiep Phat Company will continue to award 200 scholarships to disadvantaged students in Bac Tra My and Nam Tra My districts, Quang Nam province.

Immediately after that, Tan Hiep Phat will complete the scholarship program Connecting love - Stepping up to school by awarding the remaining 200 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances and strong will to rise up in Ha Nam province.
