160 officials and people of Nga My commune support Tuong Duong commune to overcome the consequences of the flood

After basically overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 in their area, on the morning of July 29, 160 officials and people of Nga My commune were present in Tuong Duong commune to help the local government and people overcome the consequences of the recent flood.

Mr. Lo Ba Lich - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nga My commune said that although the flooding after storm No. 3 had caused some impacts on the locality, the level of damage was not as serious as in many other places in Western Nghe An . Therefore, immediately after the local Party Committee, government and people urgently overcame the consequences on the spot, the commune quickly discussed and agreed on a plan to support other localities that suffered more severe damage. The commune has actively mobilized tens of millions of VND to support Tam Quang, Luong Minh, Tam Thai and Tuong Duong communes - areas that suffered heavy damage in the recent floods. Particularly for Tuong Duong commune, Nga My commune has sent 160 volunteers who are members of the Farmers' Association, Women's Union, Youth Union, and Veterans' Association from 13/16 villages in the commune to support people in cleaning up mud, garbage, and fallen trees in the premises of households.
