15,000 sunflowers along the Saigon River will bloom for Tet

On the afternoon of November 28, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City organized a tree planting ceremony to beautify the Saigon River bank, from Ba Son Bridge to the Saigon River Tunnel, Thu Thiem Ward.

Thu Duc City aims to renovate, renovate and operate the riverside park to serve the people right on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024. In addition to creating a landscape, the project also aims to mobilize local people to raise awareness of environmental protection, plant more trees, and preserve urban beauty.

Mr. Hoang Tung, Chairman of Thu Duc City People's Committee, said that the Saigon River Park project includes renovation contents including opening up all riverside roads from Nguyen Thien Thanh Street, Ba Son Bridge connecting directly to the Saigon River tunnel.

At the same time, the entire riverbank was renovated, a pier was constructed, a square and a children's playground were built... In particular, the locality planted a sunflower field with about 15,000 plants, which is considered a symbol of the creativity of Thu Duc City.

Mr. Hoang Tung hopes that the Saigon River Park will be a destination that attracts people and tourists to Ho Chi Minh City to enjoy, relax and entertain every day of the week. It is expected that the main items of the project will be completed before December 31 and basically completed before the Lunar New Year 2024 to serve people and tourists.
