Welcoming the glorious 100-year journey of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press and the continuous growth of the People's Public Security Press, on the evening of June 20, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, meeting to honor outstanding and outstanding journalists in the People's Public Security with the theme "Glorious Mission."
Attending and speaking at the program, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, acknowledged the contributions of central and local news agencies and press agencies, and press agencies in the People's Public Security to the revolutionary cause of the Party in general, the cause of protecting security and order and building the People's Public Security force in particular.
According to the Minister of Public Security, the cause of protecting security and order in the new revolutionary period is facing very glorious responsibilities. To successfully complete the tasks of the Public Security in the new era, the accompaniment of the revolutionary press and the active and effective participation of the press in the People's Public Security have a special role and importance.
From there, General Luong Tam Quang requested that central and local news agencies, newspapers, and generations of journalists inside and outside the People's Public Security sector actively accompany, promote information, and propagate the exemplary pioneering results of the People's Public Security force in implementing the Party's strategic policies, focusing on the "four" pillar resolutions (Resolution 57 of the Politburo on promoting science, technology and innovation; Resolution 59 on proactively integrating deeply into the international community; Resolution 68 on developing the private economy and Resolution 66 on comprehensive innovation in law-making and enforcement).
News agencies and newspapers should pay attention to promptly, accurately and deeply reflecting the achievements, feats, good people and good deeds in ensuring security and order; in the immediate future, actively promote events and activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection, strongly arousing the pride and strength of national solidarity in the cause of protecting national security.
According to Minister Luong Tam Quang, under the leadership of the Party, the People's Public Security always wholeheartedly serves the Fatherland and the people.
The Minister hopes that the revolutionary press, including the People's Public Security press, will promote its core role, continue to be an important bridge between the Public Security and the people, promptly and accurately reflect the legitimate aspirations of the people related to the protection of security and order; actively propagate the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State so that the people understand, sympathize, support, and agree to implement, support and help the Public Security force to fulfill its tasks. Timely inform about the plots, methods, tricks and activities of hostile forces and all types of crimes so that the people can raise their vigilance, self-awareness, and actively participate in the movement of All People Protecting National Security, while continuing to actively participate in the fight against the enemy's wrong views, the fight against corruption, negativity, all types of crimes, law violations and effectively participate in the work of building the People's Public Security force.
The Minister also emphasized the focus on building a team of People's Public Security journalists who are both red and professional, truly "secretaries of the times", "gatekeepers of the people"... Building a press agency in the People's Public Security that is lean, strong, efficient, effective and efficient; affirming the role of a key multimedia media agency, a specialized channel for essential national propaganda, a leading political and legal theory agency, a prestigious scientific forum, strengthening coordination between the press inside and outside the People's Public Security in realizing the common goal of stability, high-quality development of the country, and improving all aspects of people's lives.
Promoting the glorious tradition of revolutionary journalism, General Luong Tam Quang believes that the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, including the People's Public Security Press, with their intelligence, talent, affection and responsibility, will join hands, be unanimous, strive, and continue to make important contributions to the cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland, including the cause of protecting security and order.
At the program, Minister Luong Tam Quang awarded the Commemorative Medal and Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Public Security to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in coordinating propaganda on security and order protection.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Tu, Head of the Domestic News Department (VNA) is one of the journalists awarded the Commemorative Medal for outstanding achievements in information and propaganda work on security and order protection.
The program includes exchange and sharing activities with delegates and journalists inside and outside the People's Public Security, sharing stories and experiences in the 100-year journey of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism and the important contributions of the People's Public Security journalism in that flow.
Delegates and journalists shared about the historical process, exactly 100 years ago, on June 21, 1925, Thanh Nien newspaper founded by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc published its first issue, giving birth to Vietnam's revolutionary press.
Since its inception, the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press has had a century of glorious mission, accompanying history, being a means of revolutionary struggle, serving the people, contributing to national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.
In the flow of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism, the People's Public Security Press has affirmed its important position, actively contributing to the common achievements of the country, pioneering in the ideological and cultural fields of the People's Public Security force, making an important contribution to ensuring security and order, for the peaceful life of the people./.
