(NLDO) - A boat sinking accident occurred on Gianh River ( Quang Binh ) causing one death and three people to luckily escape.

On February 16, the People's Committee of Van Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province, confirmed that a boat sinking incident had just occurred in the area, killing one person.
At around 1 p.m. the same day, four residents of Phu Canh commune, Quang Trach district were rowing a boat on Gianh river, the section flowing through Van Hoa and Phu Canh communes, when an accident suddenly occurred, causing the boat to capsize.
3 people quickly swam to shore safely, while Mr. HTO (born in 1990, residing in Phu Canh commune) was unfortunately swept away by the current.
Immediately upon receiving the news, authorities and local people urgently organized a search for the victim.
At around 4 p.m. the same day, Mr. O's body was found. The victim's family took him home to prepare for the funeral.
The cause of the boat sinking is currently being investigated and clarified by authorities.
