On the morning of July 5, the Management Board of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, Quang Tri province, in coordination with T20 Quyet Thang Company Limited, inaugurated the eco-tourism area "Legendary Truong Son Road - Chi Huy Cave" at Km12, Road 20 - Quyet Thang.

Base in the middle of limestone

Hidden among the old forest and limestone rocks, Hang Chi Linh (also known as Hang NH) used to be the "strategic logistics base" of Station 14 - Army Corps 559 during the resistance war against the US. With its rugged terrain and secret location, this place was used to gather weapons, food, and equipment to support the southern battlefield.

The cave is about 150 m long, nearly 100 m wide, with 7 floors converted into many warehouses and functional areas such as: meeting places, resting places, medical stations, communications, weapons and food depots... Almost the entire underground living and fighting system is simulated and recreated in the exhibition space of artifacts and vivid images.

According to Mr. Nguyen Chau My - General Director of T20 Quyet Thang Company Limited, the construction of this tourism product not only contributes to promoting the value of historical relics on 20 Quyet Thang route, but also creates a highlight for traditionaleducation , arousing gratitude and national pride.

Reviving Truong Son memories with 9D technology

A special highlight of the tourist area is the virtual reality projection area integrated with 9D technology. Here, visitors will be able to "sit" in the cockpit of the Zil-131 - a military vehicle once known as the "packhorse" of the Truong Son troops - to experience the feeling of overcoming bombs and bullets on the legendary route.

360-degree images combined with surround sound, wind effects, bomb fumes, explosives, shaking movements... bring a realistic feeling, helping viewers immerse themselves in the fierce war scene of the past.

"When entering the cave, emotions came flooding back. It was not a place that was "built", but a place that had actually left footprints, sweat, and blood of many of my comrades that year. This tourism model is not only for sightseeing and taking pictures, but also a place to relive the past, to understand the value of peace today" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan, a former youth volunteer in Phong Nha commune, expressed when visiting.

Mr. Pham Hong Thai, Director of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board, said that the "Legendary Truong Son Road - Commander Cave" tourist area is part of the effort to diversify tourism types in the World Natural Heritage area. Putting this route into operation not only contributes to promoting the majestic cave system, but also revives a part of the heroic history associated with the legendary Route 20.

According to Mr. Thai, this is also a unique tourism product combining natural and historical values, promising to become an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists when coming to Phong Nha - Ke Bang.
