'Death group' appears at National U9 Football Tournament

On the afternoon of August 11, in Tay Ninh, the organizing committee of the 2025 National U9 Football Tournament held a press conference and drew lots to schedule the matches for the 24 teams participating in this year's tournament.

As the representative of the tournament's Organizing Committee, Mr. Phan Viet Hung - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Thieu Nien Tien Phong and Nhi Dong Newspapers, shared the preparation process for this year's tournament. Up to now, all preparations are ready for the opening day taking place today, August 12.

Representing the host unit, Mr. Le Quang Chanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tay Ninh is very pleased to welcome 24 U9 teams from across the country to compete in the locality.

Through this tournament, Tay Ninh also wants to spread to friends across the country about the beautiful and famous local landmarks such as: Tay Ninh Cao Dai Holy See, Ba Den Mountain, Dau Tieng Lake...

At the end of the tournament's Organizing Committee's sharing session, representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) conducted a draw and arranged the match schedule for the 24 teams participating in this year's tournament.

The draw of luck has placed 4 strong teams: Ban Me Ngoc Hung, Viet Hung Thanh Hoa, T&T VSH and Thai Binh in group B. This is considered the "death" group of the tournament.

Today, August 12, the tournament will officially kick off at Tay Ninh Provincial Gymnasium. In the afternoon of the same day, the tournament opening ceremony and the opening match will take place between U9 Long An - Tay Ninh and U9 Cong An Ha Noi.
