To meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation, to build a comprehensively strong, "Exemplary and typical" armed force that is equal to the task, the City Military Command focuses on implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus in the People's Army to be effective and ready for all situations.

Faced with the requirements and tasks of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation, what solutions does the Party Committee and the City Military Command have to build the armed forces in the direction of "revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and gradually modern"?

Facing the new destiny and new opportunities of the nation, the city's armed forces, together with local Party committees and authorities, have synchronously and comprehensively implemented the administrative reform project, implemented the 2-level local government model and reorganized local military agencies in the direction of "streamlining, compactness, and strength". Up to now, the city's armed forces have stabilized in terms of organization and staffing, and the contingent of cadres and soldiers in the entire force are mentally secure, ready to receive and successfully complete all assigned tasks; excited and confident in the destiny and future of the country, determined to build and firmly protect the Fatherland in all situations.

Along with that, focus on building a team of cadres, especially cadres in charge at all levels, with qualities, qualifications, and capacities equal to the tasks. Train a team of cadres with moral qualities, political mettle, command skills, and leadership thinking to meet the requirements of the task. To implement the policy of building a "lean, compact, and strong" army and by 2030, it is necessary to attach importance to training a team of cadres with sufficient capacity to direct, access, deploy, and master modern technology; capable of exploiting and using new types of weapons and equipment; sensitive and flexible in applying digital transformation in all areas to perform tasks.

Armed forces hold drills to improve combat readiness

Strengthening the leadership, direction, management and operation of Party committees and authorities at all levels in the tasks of national defense, security and protection of national border sovereignty ; improving the overall quality and combat strength of the city's armed forces. Mobilizing the active and voluntary participation of the entire political system, all levels, sectors, organizations, forces and the entire population under the leadership of Party committees and the management and operation of authorities at all levels, in which the armed forces play a core role.

Closely coordinate with Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and localities to focus on building up the potential and the all-people national defense posture associated with the people's security posture and the solid all-people border posture in each region and area, ensuring the interconnection and connection between regions, targets, borders and inland; linking border posts, stations, units, local mass forces, building and strongly promoting the "people's hearts posture" associated with the common defense posture of the Military Region and the whole country. Focus on investing in the construction of national defense works and defense areas associated with the socio-economic development of the city, contributing to protecting the Fatherland "early, from afar", not being passive or surprised in any situation.

The mission of the Army is to “fight” and “be ready to fight”. In peacetime, how is that mission set for the city's armed forces, Colonel?

In both wartime and peacetime, the military always identifies training and combat readiness as the top central task, while promoting the tradition of the army working from the people and fighting for the people. The city's military always sticks to and grasps the area, focuses on doing a good job of mass mobilization and gratitude activities; is ready to take the lead in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, rescue, forest fire prevention and fighting, participating in disease prevention and control; joins hands in building new rural areas, helping people develop the socio-economy, and sustainably reduce poverty... Strengthening propaganda and education work to make all cadres, soldiers, militia, self-defense forces, and reserve mobilizers properly aware of their rights, responsibilities, and obligations in the task of protecting the Fatherland, ready to go anywhere and do any task when the Fatherland needs it.
