Identifying that improving the quality of training and combat readiness to maintain the homeland's sea and islands is one of the important contents directly contributing to the successful completion of the unit's political tasks, in recent years, the Party Committee and the Battalion Command have directed the synchronous implementation of many measures, focusing on thoroughly grasping the resolutions of the Central Military Commission, the Military Region Party Committee, and directives and orders from above on training and combat readiness. Every year, the Party Committee and Party cells have developed specialized resolutions to lead the implementation of training tasks, specifically identifying policies and measures to improve the quality of combat readiness in line with the organization, force, means, equipment of the unit, and the characteristics of the situation in the sea area; strictly maintaining order and regimes, especially focusing on the regime of combat readiness, response to natural disasters at sea, command duty, duty, combat duty, patrolling, guarding to ensure safety, organizing exercises on combat plans to protect the islands; Train soldiers according to requirements, tasks, high determination to fight, not to be passive and surprised...

The training process adheres to the motto "Basic, practical, solid", superiors train subordinates, those who know how to train those who do not know. Strictly implement the program, content, and time; deploy synchronous training for subjects, close to the functions, tasks, and practices on the island; focus on training soldiers to proficiently use weapons, technical equipment, interweave training between artillery, infantry, 12.7mm, 82mm mortar squads, combine the transmission of theoretical and practical content, thereby the training quality of the unit has changed more and more clearly, each year is higher than the previous year, with solidity.

At the same time, the unit has promoted the emulation movement in training, combat readiness tasks, the Party Committee and the Battalion Command have closely followed the practical situation of tasks, emulation, rewards and the Determined to Win emulation movement; actively, comprehensively, and with the right focus and key points, creating changes in many aspects. Particularly in training and combat readiness, the unit launched an annual emulation movement, combined with peak emulation periods, raids in drills, live ammunition firing, etc. It can be affirmed that the overall quality, level and combat readiness capabilities of the unit have been constantly improved; training for the subjects has been organized to ensure strictness, correctness, and sufficient content and time, completing 100% of the plan. The results of the examination of the subjects showed that 100% of the content met the requirements; of which over 85.62% were good and excellent. These results have contributed significantly to the overall achievements of the unit in recent years; The unit was awarded the title of Determined to Win Unit by the Provincial Military Command, and is one of the leading flags in the Determined to Win emulation movement of the provincial armed forces.
