Phu Ninh commune ensures conditions for entering the new school year

DNO - Schools in Phu Ninh commune are actively preparing facilities, equipment, staff and teachers to be ready for the new school year 2025 - 2026.

In Phu Ninh commune (merged from the three communes of Tam Dan, Tam Dai and Tam Lanh), there are currently 8 schools, including 3 kindergartens, 3 primary schools and 2 secondary schools. Of which, Hoa Mai Kindergarten, Tran Quoc Toan Primary School and Chu Van An Secondary School in Tam Lanh commune (old) are located quite far from the center of Phu Ninh commune, with many difficulties. Therefore, preparations for the new school year were carried out early.

Since the beginning of August, Hoa Mai Kindergarten has mobilized staff, teachers, and employees to clean classrooms, equipment, and teaching aids, and focus on decorating classrooms and playgrounds, creating a joyful space to welcome children to class.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong, Principal of Hoa Mai Kindergarten, said: “The school has 5 classes with 132 children. Currently, preparations for the new school year have been basically completed. The school has proposed to Phu Ninh commune the difficulties in facilities so that they can be promptly resolved, ensuring the safety of children entering the 2025-2026 school year.”

The shortage of teachers has also been promptly resolved by schools. Tran Quoc Toan Primary School has signed contracts with 3 teachers; Chu Van An Secondary School has also signed contracts with 8 teachers to ensure the teaching staff for the upcoming school year.

From the 2025-2026 school year, teaching 2 sessions/day will begin to be applied to secondary and high school levels. Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung, Principal of Chu Van An Secondary School said, this year the school has 12 classes in 4 grades. Currently, 6 rooms are arranged for teaching, still not ensuring conditions for teaching 2 sessions/day.

However, with the determination to implement the policy of the Prime Minister and the education sector, the school has developed a plan and proposed solutions to be able to start teaching 2 sessions/day in the 2025-2026 school year.

“We have proposed to the People's Committee of Phu Ninh commune to renovate the previous functional rooms and subject rooms to transfer them to students, ensuring the number of rooms for 2 sessions/day for students. The school will also consult with the Department of Culture - Society and the Department of Education and Training of the city on the program, content, and script to build a reasonable teaching plan , ” said Mr. Hung.

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Binh, Chairman of Phu Ninh Commune People's Committee, to prepare for the 2025-2026 school year, the commune has focused on handling issues related to organizational structure, establishment and appointment of school leaders according to authority.

“After completing the apparatus, Phu Ninh commune focused on solutions to overcome the shortage of teachers, especially in schools in Tam Lanh commune (old). The commune is also implementing the construction of 2 school buildings to ensure standards, best serving teaching and learning in the new school year,” Mr. Binh informed.
