For over 10 years, the model of growing red grapefruit in pots of Mr. Ha Thanh Hong, residing in Phong Hoa commune, has contributed to introducing the image of local specialties, bringing high economic efficiency.

With a favorable geographical location, Phong Hoa commune is a traffic gateway with National Highway 54 passing through and bordering Vinh Long province; Provincial Road 853 borders Sa Dec ward and Hau River borders Can Tho city. The traffic infrastructure system in the area is invested synchronously, creating favorable conditions for people to circulate goods, trade and attract investment.

In recent times, the Dinh Hoa civet farming cooperative has brought high economic efficiency to participating members.

Along with that, Phong Hoa commune strives to increase the average income per capita to 125 million VND by 2030; the total state budget revenue in the area increases by an average of 6%/year or more. The rate of trained workers reaches 82.5%, of which trained workers with diplomas and certificates reaches 56%; the rate of population participating in health insurance reaches over 97%.

At the same time, the annual admission of new party members reaches 3% - 4% of the total number of party members of the Party Committee; every year, the rate of affiliated party organizations "Completing their tasks well" reaches 95% or more...
