Ea Knop Commune: Spreading the patriotic emulation movement

With practical and appropriate actions, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in Ea Knop commune have enthusiastically carried out the patriotic emulation movement, actively contributing to the local socio-economic development.

Implementing the emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans", the Veterans Association of Village 12, Ea Knop Commune has promoted the pioneering and exemplary role of its members who are Party members and are pioneers in all activities.

The traffic route in village 12, Ea Knop commune was built with contributions from veterans and local people along with State funds.

For example, when there was a policy to build a 655-meter concrete road in the village, 8 members of the Veterans Association whose houses were on this road volunteered to contribute 12 million VND/household; coordinated with the Party Committee and the self-management board to propagate and mobilize households to contribute. In particular, the Head of the Veterans Association of Village 12, Le Manh Dung, voluntarily donated 500 ^{square meters} of land and contributed an additional 1 million VND to build the road.

With the above contribution and 60 tons of cement supported by the Commune People's Committee, the road was quickly completed, helping people travel conveniently.

Not only the above road, many members of the War Veterans Association of Village 12 such as: Nguyen Trong Xo, Nguyen Cong Ung, Truong Van Tai, Bui Van Nga, Vu Minh Tinh... also voluntarily donated land, moved fences, supported more money, working days with the people to participate in expanding and upgrading the roads. The War Veterans Association of Village 12 also coordinated to propagate and mobilize people to contribute to building a hall, installing 18 solar lights to light up the main road; established an Environmental Protection Club, collected waste; built a Comrades Fund with a total amount of 135 million VND, helping 7 members in difficult circumstances to develop the economy . The War Veterans Association of Village 12 has become a leading association in the movements, and has been classified as having completed its tasks excellently for 3 consecutive years.

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ea Knop commune Vu Thi Thanh Giang said that with the motto of "using the people's strength to build people's lives, taking the common interests of the community as a common point", the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in Ea Knop commune have had many creative ways to mobilize internal strength and the spirit of voluntary participation of union members, association members and people from all walks of life. Thanks to that, each emulation movement has been effectively implemented.

Farmers in Ea Knop commune apply science and technology in the process of planting and caring for lychee trees.

In the emulation movement to build new rural areas, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the commune have mobilized people, union members and association members to contribute over 14.5 billion VND to build 11 km of new concrete roads, repair and expand nearly 92 km of roads. The emulation movement for good production and business has also spread, union members, association members and people have focused on developing concentrated livestock farms, building product brands of "Ea Kar litchi", "Ea Kar longan". The movement to build cultural villages, hamlets and cultural families has been directed and implemented, up to now, the whole commune has 82.8% of households meeting the standards of cultural families and 36/45 hamlets and hamlets meeting the cultural standards. The emulation movement to encourage learning and talent has been effectively implemented with many practical activities such as mobilizing, connecting to help and sponsor orphans, helping children go to school, helping during exam season... with a total value of over 1 billion VND. Responding to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the commune have mobilized and supported the construction and repair of 37 Great Solidarity houses with a total value of over 2.12 billion VND; giving 20 livelihoods to the poor worth 200 million VND.

Along with socio-economic development, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Ea Knop commune have also actively contributed to Party building and building a clean and strong government through models such as security cameras, 3 safe branches, crime prevention and social evils, families without violence, the movement of the whole people to protect national security... contributing to maintaining stability in the security and order situation in the area.
