According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, on August 7, 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism received an official dispatch from the People's Committee of Dong Nai province requesting comments on the implementation of the Ma Da Bridge Construction Project. In particular, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province said: The Ma Da Bridge Construction Project has been approved by the People's Committee of Dong Nai province in terms of investment policy in Decision No. 283/QD-UBND (dated July 2, 2025) and adjusted in Decision No. 528/QD-UBND (dated July 25, 2025); approved the appraisal results of the Project's Environmental Impact Assessment Report in Decision No. 541/QD-UBND (dated July 27, 2025).
According to the Environmental Impact Assessment Report, the Ma Da Bridge Construction Project is implemented in Tri An and Tan Loi communes, Dong Nai province. The project area does not have a world heritage site; there are no historical - cultural relics, scenic spots ranked as national relics, special national relics. Therefore, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to be responsible for the related contents and data.
In case the implementation of a project outside the protected area of a relic is likely to have a negative impact on the original elements of the relic and the cultural landscape of the relic, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to direct relevant agencies and units to conduct a thorough survey to clarify the current status and existence of tangible and intangible cultural heritages (historical - cultural relics, scenic spots, intangible cultural heritages and related cultural spaces, etc.) to fully and objectively assess the impacts (if any) of the project on the cultural heritage in order to have solutions to protect and promote its value in accordance with the provisions of the law on cultural heritage.
For other contents related to project implementation such as: requirements for environmental impact assessment for project implementation related to Conservation Areas, World Biosphere Reserves, ASEAN Heritage Gardens, etc.), Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee is requested to base on the provisions of the law on environmental protection and other relevant legal provisions to seek opinions from relevant professional agencies to ensure conformity.
The Ma Da Bridge Construction Project starts at Provincial Road 753, Tan Loi Commune; the end point is on the trail in Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve, Tri An Commune, Dong Nai Province. The project has a total route length of about 583m, the cross-section of the bridge in phase 1 has 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for non-motor vehicles, with a total investment of more than 133 billion VND.
On August 19, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Ma Da Bridge. Ma Da Bridge is an important project in forming a connecting route from Binh Phuoc province (old) along provincial road 753, through Ma Da bridge to the center of Dong Nai province. At the same time, it connects with other routes to form a traffic axis connecting the Central Highlands provinces to Long Thanh International Airport and Cai Mep - Thi Vai deep-water port.
