VPBank and MobiFone cooperate comprehensively to build an ecosystem

On July 2, VPBank and MobiFone officially signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement, aiming to build an integrated telecommunications and finance-banking ecosystem, expanding digital services to millions of customers nationwide.

Comprehensive digital payment for public administration

According to VPBank , the first highlight in this cooperation is the two sides' coordination in implementing the comprehensive digital payment solution mobiPOS for the public administration sector.

This solution integrates the cashless payment system between MobiFone's mobiPOS platform and VPBank's payment solutions such as SmartPOS, SoftPOS, QR Payment, Ecompay...

Thereby, this solution will support state agencies, public administrative centers and public transaction points in modernizing the collection and disbursement process, enhancing transparency, convenience and safety for people.

The system has been successfully piloted and is ready to be replicated at MobiFone transaction points nationwide in the near future.

In addition, the two sides are also cooperating to deploy the Agent Banking model on the network of MobiFone points of sale and stores nationwide.

This model will allow people in rural, remote and isolated areas to access basic financial services such as opening eKYC accounts, interbank deposits/withdrawals, bill payments, telecommunications top-ups, credit card registration and consumer loans... through MobiFone's existing infrastructure.

This is a way to promote financial inclusion and support the goal of universalizing banking services to people without traditional bank accounts.

At the same time, the strategic cooperation between VPBank and MobiFone also focuses on developing an integrated digital financial product portfolio including opening a VPBank account, registering for a credit card and using savings services via the My MobiFone application and MobiFone Money e-wallet.

- Mobile subscriber scoring (MobiScoring) - based on consumer behavior analysis from telecommunications data.

- "Buy Now Pay Later" payment model for telecommunications services.

- eKYC identification solution via chip-embedded citizen identification card.

In the medium term, the two sides agreed to jointly build the "SME Biz Hub" platform - a comprehensive financial - telecommunications solution for small and medium enterprises.

The solution integrates synchronous services such as electronic invoices, corporate credit, specialized payment cards, preferential data packages, etc. to support digital transformation for small and medium enterprises in Vietnam.

Deep and long-term partnership

The cooperation between VPBank and MobiFone does not stop at the product level, but is the result of a strategic engagement process that began in 2017.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Vinh - General Director of VPBank - shared that MobiFone is not only a telecommunications provider, but has become a comprehensive digital transformation partner of VPBank.

"We look forward to expanding cooperation in both product depth and market breadth, continuing to create new values for customers and shaping a model multi-industry digital ecosystem in Vietnam," said Mr. Vinh.

Mr. To Manh Cuong - member of the board of members, general director of MobiFone - assessed that MobiFone and VPBank have had a long-term relationship over decades.

With consensus and determination from both sides, the two sides will build a model of effective and sustainable cooperation, making practical contributions to the national digital transformation and national development in the new era.

The strategic cooperation agreement between VPBank and MobiFone marks an important step in the process of integrating telecommunications technology and digital finance, towards building a comprehensive, user-centric service ecosystem.

This synergy not only enhances the customer experience, but also expands access to digital services to the entire society – especially in areas with limited financial infrastructure.

Thereby, both sides contribute to promoting the digital economy , building a safe, comprehensive and sustainably developed digital nation.
