During the last term, Vo Tranh commune has mobilized maximum resources for developing tea production, processing and consumption. Many brands such as Khe Coc tea and Vo Tranh tea have been built and widely promoted, contributing to enhancing the value of products and the position of the locality.
An important highlight in the development of tea trees in Vo Tranh is the application of science and technology associated with sustainable production models. To date, the area of tea meeting VietGAP and organic standards in the commune is 819.6 hectares, accounting for more than 31% of the total tea growing area; of which 34 hectares are organic tea and 68 hectares are granted growing area codes.
Along with that, automatic and semi-automatic irrigation systems have been installed on about 80% of the area, helping to save labor and increase productivity. These efforts have brought clear results: Output and newly planted and replanted areas have exceeded the plan.
With 35 agricultural cooperatives, 60 tea production cooperatives and 39 craft villages, Vo Tranh commune has built a solid foundation for agricultural economic development. In the past term, 16 OCOP products achieving 3 and 4 star standards are clear evidence of the quality and value of local products.
Many typical cooperatives such as Vo Tranh Tea Village Cooperative, Khe Coc Safe Tea Cooperative... have played a key role in building and managing brands, representing trademark registration procedures and organizing production according to safe processes, ensuring quality.
Some units have boldly combined tea production with community tourism development, building homestay models and tea-drinking spaces for tourists to experience tea culture and learn about the production process, thereby opening up more sustainable directions and increasing income for people.

Tea cooperatives in Vo Tranh do not stop at the production stage but also become an important bridge, helping people access new high-yield tea varieties, apply advanced farming processes, or automatic irrigation systems. Thanks to that, the quality and output of tea are increasingly improved.
Through cooperatives, small-scale producers are linked into a closed value chain from planting, care, processing to consumption, creating conditions for products to reach consumers quickly and effectively.
Dat Phat Clean Tea Cooperative is a typical example. Established in 2020, the unit currently has 7 official members and 30 associated households, with a raw material area of 20 hectares of VietGAP tea, with an average annual output of over 260 tons of fresh tea buds, equivalent to about 52 tons of dry tea. The raw material area is mainly located in Vo Tranh commune, with high-quality hybrid tea varieties such as Thuy Ngoc, Long Van, Phuc Tho, TRI 777, Kim Tuyen.
Director of Dat Phat Clean Tea Cooperative Vu Thanh Thom said: Since its establishment, the cooperative has consistently pursued the criteria of producing clean and safe tea, bringing customers standard and reputable products.
Currently, Dat Phat clean tea cooperative produces a variety of products: tea buds, hook tea, black tea, ancient tea buds, shrimp tea, lotus tea... In which, tea buds, hook tea, shrimp tea have been certified with 4 stars OCOP, and have achieved the titles of typical rural agricultural products, ISO certification, certification of safe product supply and qualified food safety facilities.
Comrade Hoang Van Thien, Secretary of the Party Committee of Vo Tranh commune, affirmed: The locality is entering a new stage of development, with a larger scale and stature. The achievements in the past term are both a driving force and a solid foundation for Vo Tranh to continue to make breakthroughs. The harmonious combination of traditional agriculture, especially the key tea tree, with the application of high technology and the consensus of the people will soon make Vo Tranh a model new rural commune, contributing positively to the local socio-economic development.
