On the morning of August 14, the launching ceremony of the 2025 Bia Saigon Dragon Cup International 7-a-side Football Tournament took place in Ho Chi Minh City. This is the third time the tournament has been held and the first time it has taken place in Ho Chi Minh City.
The tournament took place from August 15 to 17 at Gia Dinh Stadium (Binh Thanh Ward) with the participation of the 7-a-side football teams of Vietnam, Thailand and Kampung Rawa Club (Malaysia).
In the third time of organization, VietFootball wants to raise the level of Vietnam's unique football to the regional scale. At the same time, promote professional exchanges and contribute to effectively promoting the image of football, culture, country and people of Vietnam to the region and the world .
The tournament will be played in a round robin format to determine the champion. In addition to the Cup and Gold Medal, the champion team will receive a prize of 3,000 USD (about 80 million VND). The runner-up team will receive 2,000 USD, and the third-place team will receive 1,500 USD.
According to the match schedule, the Vietnamese 7-a-side football team will meet Kampung Rawa Club (August 15) and the Thai 7-a-side football team (August 17).

Matches, events and programs accompanying the 2025 Bia Saigon Dragon Cup International 7-a-side Football Tournament will be broadcast live on MyTV and Meta Multimedia - the copyright owner of the tournament's images as well as VietFootball's media partners.
The Vietnam 7-a-side football team was selected through the National Championship. The team gathered for the first session in Hanoi in early August. The team played a friendly match with Vietnam All Stars, a group of excellent 11-a-side football players in Vietnam.
Preparing for the tournament, the Vietnamese 7-a-side football team gathered in Ho Chi Minh City on August 10 with 19 players. Among them was a foreign player, Claudecir - a former Brazilian striker who played in the V-League for many years.
Arriving in Vietnam on August 12, the Thai 7-a-side football team and Kampung Rawa Club (Malaysia) have been practicing hard to get familiar with the field and have played friendly matches with Vietnamese clubs to improve their skills.
