Register many wishes but can't remember
In the past few days, many candidates said that although they knew the admission scores, they did not know which schools they passed or failed.
Dr. Tran Huu Duy, Vice Principal of Dalat University, said that the reason for this phenomenon is because many students register for too many wishes (NV) so they do not remember which major and which school they registered for. In addition, many students do not clearly understand the admission principles, according to which, when they are admitted to the first wish, the next wish is not considered, so it is so vague.
Many candidates, after knowing their admission scores, went to the Ministry of Education and Training's system to confirm their admission but were not accepted.

"Therefore, after looking at the admission scores, candidates do not know whether they passed or failed, and if they passed, which school they were admitted to. For example, candidates call the school to ask 'why did I apply to Da Lat University but I was not accepted?', the school checks and finds that this candidate was admitted to another school but the candidate does not know!", Dr. Duy shared.
According to Mr. Duy, allowing candidates to register for admission without any restrictions makes them think they can register indiscriminately without determining which major or school they like and which is suitable for their abilities (scores).
"In terms of career orientation principles, it is impossible for candidates to like too many professions. Candidates should only be allowed to register for a limited number of 3-5 jobs so that they can choose the career they really like," Dr. Duy stated his opinion.
Master Pham Thai Son, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, also said that many candidates registered for too many NVs, so they were 'confused' and could not remember which majors and schools they had registered for. Or even if they remembered the NVs they registered for, they could not remember the order of their wishes, so when they saw that their scores were higher than the admission scores of some schools they had registered for, they did not know which school they had actually been admitted to.
"The fact that the Ministry of Education and Training does not limit the number of candidates also creates opportunities for candidates, however, they need to limit themselves to 3-5 candidates to ensure that they are the majors and schools they love the most and are suitable for their abilities," said Master Son.
The university sends admission notices through many channels immediately after announcing the admission scores.
Immediately after the benchmark scores were announced, universities also sent admission notices to each candidate through many channels. Dr. Tran Huu Duy said: "The school posted information on the website, Facebook fanpage, SMS messages or candidates can look up information on the school's admission candidate information lookup portal."
Master Nguyen Thi Kim Phung, Deputy Director of the Admissions and Business Relations Center of the University of Finance and Marketing, informed: "After announcing the benchmark scores, the school sent SMS and email notifications to each candidate. The specific content is 'congratulations to candidate... student code... who has been admitted to the regular university level in 2025 of the school, major... Candidates are requested to confirm their enrollment at the address... before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, then log in to the page... with username, password... to complete the procedure".
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade also sent admission and enrollment letters to candidates with specific instructions, such as confirming online enrollment before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, and confirming enrollment at the school from August 24 to September 4. At the same time, instructions on the enrollment process with necessary procedures are provided.
At Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Master Nguyen Thi Xuan Dung, Director of the Communication Center, also said that the school sent admission notices to candidates via email, SMS and ZNS messages.
"However, according to records, over the past two days, many candidates have discussed difficulties accessing admission confirmation on the Ministry of Education and Training's system. The school has also instructed students to wait about 1-2 days before accessing again," shared Master Xuan Dung.
According to Dr. Tran Huu Duy, on August 23, the Ministry of Education and Training has not opened the system for candidates to confirm their admission, so candidates have reported that they cannot confirm on the system. Master Kim Phung also said that the system may not open until August 25.
