The Advisory Council consists of 18 members representing central ministries, departments and agencies such as the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Public Security and State Bank of Vietnam.
The Chairman of the Advisory Council is Mr. Tran Dinh Thien, member of the Prime Minister's Policy Advisory Council, member of the National Financial and Monetary Policy Advisory Council, former Director of the Vietnam Economic Institute.
The Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council is Mr. Richard Dean McClellan, former Country Director of the Tony Blair Institute in Vietnam.
The task of the Advisory Council is to research, advise and make recommendations to the Chairman of the City People's Committee and the Preparatory Board of the management and operation agency of the International Financial Center in Da Nang .
Consulting contents include: strategy, plan for construction and development of Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang; governance model, organizational structure, operating mechanism of the International Financial Center in Da Nang; promotion program, attracting strategic investors, financial institutions, investment funds, support services, legal services and international and domestic consulting organizations to invest and operate in the International Financial Center in Da Nang.
Along with that is consulting on investment programs for training and developing high-quality financial human resources; mechanisms to attract and use international experts and Vietnamese intellectuals working and studying abroad to work at the International Financial Center in Da Nang.
The Advisory Council also provides comments on legal documents to create a basis for the construction and operation of the financial center and advises and comments on planning and adjustments to the city's planning associated with the development of the International Financial Center in Da Nang.
