On June 10, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front issued a warning about impersonation and abuse of the name of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to mobilize support from domestic and foreign agencies, businesses, organizations and individuals on social networking platforms.
According to Mr. Vu Van Tien, member of the Presidium, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, recently on social networks, a number of fake Fanpages have appeared, taking advantage of the name of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to mobilize support from agencies, businesses, organizations and individuals at home and abroad. People need to be vigilant and careful when receiving information, not to rush to believe or spread unverified news to avoid being scammed by bad guys.
Mr. Vu Van Tien affirmed that this is not the official Fanpage of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, therefore the amount of donations from organizations, individuals and businesses will not be controlled and will not be guaranteed to be used for the right purpose. People should not transfer money to unofficial personal or corporate accounts.
“The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has only one official information page, which is the Vietnam Fatherland Front Electronic Information Page: https://mattran.org.vn/ and the Vietnam Fatherland Front fanpage. The leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will coordinate with the police to investigate, clarify and strictly handle the subjects," Mr. Vu Van Tien informed.
