During 10 days of training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center ( Hanoi ), head coach Okiyama Masahiki and his assistants spent most of their time training the players' physical strength, combining testing the squad's framework with two practice matches.
In which, the team had an internal match and a friendly match with Thai Nguyen U19 Women's Club on the afternoon of July 9 with a 5-2 win.
Evaluating his players, coach Okiyama Masahiki said the team still has many issues that need improvement.
“Currently, the team is focusing and following the training plan of the coaching staff. In the match against Thai Nguyen women's players, although the opponent was fast, the U20 women's players performed quite well,” said coach Okiyama Masahiki.
According to the plan, the Vietnam U20 women's team will have 10 days of training in Hamamatsu city, Shizuoka province, Japan with 5 friendly matches, including two matches with opponents from Shizuoka Sangyo University and Aichi Toho University, and three matches with high school soccer teams.
On July 21, the Vietnam U20 women's team will return to Hanoi, entering the final preparation stage for the 2026 Asian U20 Women's Qualifiers.
