
On the afternoon of August 3, a special friendly match between the Vietnamese 7-a-side football team and the Vietnam All-Stars team (a team of national players and former players) took place at Hoang Mai Stadium (Culture, Information and Sports Center, Hoang Liet Ward, Hanoi).
For the first time, fans across the country had the opportunity to witness a live competition between the best amateur players of 7-a-side football and famous players such as Van Quyet, Duy Manh, Tien Linh, Huy Hung... The match not only brought beautiful plays, but also spread the spirit of sportsmanship, inspiring and inspiring the love of football to the young generation.

In particular, the players participating in the showmatch joined hands to contribute to the “Couple of Loving Leaves” fund – a program with the mission of “Giving the opportunity to go to school – Giving the opportunity to change life”. This is a volunteer activity to connect kind hearts with children in difficult circumstances, supporting them on their journey of learning and pursuing their dreams.

Speaking before the match, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan - General Director of VietFootball Joint Stock Company - said: "This is a very special match, gathering football stars and typical 7-a-side football players from the VPL-S6 Final Round. Not only inspiring football to the community, the match is also an important preparation step for the Bia Saigon Dragon Cup 2025 International 7-a-side Football Tournament, scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City in August this year with the participation of teams from Thailand and Malaysia".

The 70-minute match at Hoang Mai Stadium gave the audience a feast of football with 6 goals divided equally between the two teams. VPL Dream Team - familiar with the 7-a-side tournament - took the initiative and soon took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Claudecir and Dau Duc Tu. However, Vietnam All-Stars demonstrated the class of the players, former national players when Hoang Dinh Tung scored twice, and Huy Hung contributed a goal, helping the team turn the game around and take the lead. In the final minutes of the second half, Le Tuan Anh scored the equalizer 3-3, ending an exciting, emotional match.
The Showmatch also marked the end of the first training session of the Vietnamese 7-a-side football team (from August 1 to 3 in Hanoi ). The next training session will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from August 8 to 17. During this time, the Vietnamese 7-a-side football team will officially participate in the 2025 International 7-a-side Football Tournament at Gia Dinh Stadium, along with three guests from Malaysia and Thailand.
