MV ''Vietnam - proudly stepping into the future'':
On August 14, the MV Vietnam - Proudly following the future by singer Tung Duong in collaboration with musician Nguyen Van Chung was officially released on online platforms, carrying the breath of a proud and aspirational Vietnam. Not only a musical product, this is also a gift from Divo Tung Duong to the audience to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.
Since the audio version was released, there have been thousands of shares and positive comments. The combination of the "billion view" duo - musicians Nguyen Van Chung and Tung Duong has created a melody that is both heroic and profound, igniting the flame of national pride in the hearts of listeners.
Tung Duong could not hide his emotions when talking about the project: "Singing about my homeland and country has always been my greatest pride and honor. Songs like Mot Vong Viet Nam or Viet Tiep Chuyen Hoa Binh, which became million-view hits, are proof that patriotic music still lives strongly in the hearts of audiences, especially young people. In this MV, I want to send to the community the image of a Vietnam in peacetime - stretching and full of vitality."
Nguyen Van Chung's opening lyrics resound with affection: "Oh Vietnam, I love the voice where I live, I love the land on the East Sea..." - like a call, a reminder of the origin. The modern EDM melody is skillfully combined with the symphony violin, creating an unexpected but effective combination carrying the message of tradition and modernity together.
In each verse, Tung Duong shows off his masterful vocal ability, with warm, emotional passages leading to a brilliant climax, where he "pops" the soaring Sí note while still maintaining his heroic spirit. It is this delicate handling that makes listeners not only enjoy the music, but also clearly feel the beat of a patriotic heart.
Musician Nguyen Van Chung confided that the song was written in July, a time when the country was entering many major reforms. He wanted to mark that moment with a melody of faith: "I hope listeners find in the song the pride and will to move forward into the future, to love more the beautiful life today."
At the press conference to launch the MV, musicians Nguyen Van Chung and Tung Duong said they both had to put aside their artistic egos to create a complete work together.
"I wrote Vietnam - Proud to follow the future and immediately thought of Tung Duong. The working process lasted more than two months, every day we discussed and edited every detail, even some parts were edited and then... returned to the original (laughs). At first, I thought Tung Duong could not be my 'type' and it would be difficult to cooperate. But when working together, I saw that both of their perfectionism created a work that satisfied us. We understood each other better and realized many things in common, we were both perfectionists and always put our heart into our work."
Meanwhile, singer Tung Duong praised the "billion view" musician for being so gentle, pampering him more than "pampering his lover".
"This song has many highlights that suit my voice, especially the high notes full of enthusiasm. Initially, the opening part of the song was written quite 'flying', I suggested revising it to better suit my voice and emotions. This is the first time I sing Dance music with a spirit of 'going all out', but still maintaining a strong patriotic message. Nguyen Van Chung and I are the same age, on social networks we often 'cut' each other for fun, but when working, we respect and listen.
The special thing about this song is that we do not hold the copyright too tightly. I hope that as many people as possible will sing and cover it to spread the love for the homeland. If I have the opportunity, I want to bring this song to the world , singing it in both Vietnamese and foreign languages to promote the image of Vietnam," Tung Duong shared.
The MV, directed by Vu Hong Thang, combines majestic scenes at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi Flag Tower... with ordinary moments of everyday life of the people. Under the harsh August sun, the crew "burned" themselves out to capture every glance and smile that contained optimism and faith. The morning flag-raising ceremony at the square, the National Anthem, the red flag with a yellow star fluttering - all became sacred moments, deeply touching the emotions of the viewers.
"What I struggled with was how to balance the heroic spirit of the song with the closeness and youthfulness of the images. The song is powerful, but if the images are too heavy, it will be difficult to reach young people. Therefore, we combined majestic grand scenes with everyday moments, so that the MV is both profound and easy to touch the audience's emotions," director Vu Hong Thang shared.
With Vietnam - Proudly Stepping Forward to the Future , Tung Duong continues to affirm his position as an artist who always renews himself, keeps up with the times but does not abandon his roots. Each lyric, each frame is like a reminder of the responsibility of today's generation towards the future of the country.
"Dedicating ourselves to the country's art and spreading positive messages is how our generation of artists show gratitude to our ancestors who sacrificed to preserve peace today," said Tung Duong.

At the press conference, teachers of Hanoi University revealed that they have translated the song Vietnam - Proud to Follow the Future into many languages and will publish it in the near future.
