Police and Market Management of Bac Giang province seized 13 different types of fake cosmetics.
According to the leader of the Drug Administration, this recall was based on voluntary requests from businesses.
In particular, Central Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company 2 (HCMC) requested to recall the product registration number of Urgo Filmogel Spots (number 157273/21/CBMP-QLD), manufactured in Belgium. This is a commonly used skin care product.
Le Giang Cosmetics Company Limited ( Hai Phong ) also requests to recall 2 receipt numbers of the product Gcell Y Zone Cleanser, imported from Korea.
JP-Bui Dang Co., Ltd. ( Hanoi ) has 32 numbers of products voluntarily requested for recall. The list includes cosmetics from different brands such as Anessa, Hadalabo, DHC, Bigen, Eyebon, Skin Vape, Muhi... These are cosmetics familiar to Vietnamese consumers.
The leaders of the Drug Administration Department said that these recall decisions are effective from the date of signing and have been notified to the Department of Health of provinces and cities for coordination in monitoring and implementation.
The withdrawal of the number of cosmetic product declaration forms according to the voluntary request of enterprises took place in the context of ministries, branches and localities simultaneously implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch 65/CD-TTg on launching a peak period of fighting to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights.
Regarding the pharmaceutical and cosmetic sector, from May 15 to June 15, the Drug Administration established 5 surprise inspection teams in the following provinces and cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Long An, An Giang, Nam Dinh, Phu Tho, and Bac Ninh.
The delegations inspected 38 establishments, of which 18 were in the pharmaceutical sector (9 manufacturing establishments; 9 drug importing establishments); 20 cosmetic trading establishments (including 13 cosmetic manufacturing establishments, 7 cosmetic trading and declaration establishments).
In the cosmetics sector alone, inspection teams discovered 9 establishments with violations. The main violations were the acts of declaring, advertising, and producing cosmetics with ingredients that did not match the cosmetic product declaration form.
