BAC GIANG - On June 25, the 19th Party Executive Committee of Bac Giang province held its 26th conference to discuss, comment on and approve many important contents. Comrade Nguyen Van Gau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the conference.

According to the report at the conference, in the first 6 months of the year, the socio -economic situation achieved many positive results. Economic growth (GRDP) is estimated at 14.04%. Total state budget revenue in the first 6 months is estimated at 16,980 billion VND, an increase of 78.2% over the same period in 2024. In the PCI index in 2024, Bac Giang continues to maintain its position in the leading group of the country, ranking 4th out of 63 provinces and cities. The province's investment attraction continues to achieve quite positive results, especially new investment projects in the DDI sector.

Disbursement of public investment capital achieved positive results; socio-economic infrastructure continued to improve. Existing problems and limitations in the fields of land, resources, environment, investment and construction were gradually resolved. Culture and society continued to develop;education quality continued to affirm its leading position in the country; social security was effectively implemented.

Administrative reform, administrative unit arrangement and digital transformation have been promoted. The quality of citizen reception and complaint settlement has been improved. Political security and social order and safety have been ensured, traffic accidents have decreased in all three criteria...

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and giving opinions on the draft reports: The implementation of the socio-economic development plan; the implementation of the state budget estimate in the first 6 months of the year, tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2025. Draft report analyzing the local budget settlement of Bac Giang province in 2024 and draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council approving the local budget settlement in 2024. Draft reports on the situation and results of security and order work and the situation and results of the implementation of local defense and military tasks in the first 6 months of the year; directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.

Concluding these contents, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: The Provincial Party Committee acknowledged and commended all levels, sectors, and localities, especially the district and commune-level cadres who are about to complete their historic mission, together with the cadres from the province to the grassroots level, for working hard to comprehensively implement political tasks and achieve many positive results. Bac Giang continues to be a bright spot in the country in terms of economic growth, creating trust and motivation before merging with Bac Ninh province.

From July 1, 2025, the two provinces of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh will officially merge into the new Bac Ninh province. With the role, position and development space of the new province, all levels, sectors, localities, and each cadre and party member need to promote the spirit of greater efforts and determination; resolutely and highly focus on leadership, direction and organization to successfully complete all tasks. Strive to fulfill the highest targets and tasks set for 2025, and at the same time successfully organize the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

The Provincial Party Executive Committee basically agrees with the reports prepared by the Provincial Party Committee. The Provincial Party Committee is assigned to direct the full acceptance of the delegates' opinions to complete the draft reports and documents, and submit them to the Provincial People's Council meeting on June 27, 2025 for consideration and decision.

Also at the conference, delegates reviewed and approved the Draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on adjusting, supplementing and allocating details of the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 (provincial budget capital in balance).

Regarding these drafts, comrade Nguyen Van Gau requested delegates to continue studying and contributing opinions. The Provincial Party Committee assessed that the draft Political Report basically reflected the outstanding results of the past term; proposed the theme, motto of the Congress and the goals, solutions and breakthrough tasks in the coming term. However, it is necessary to continue to promote collective intelligence, conduct thorough, scientific and methodical research to accurately propose the orientation, vision, goals and solutions for the breakthrough development of the new Bac Ninh province.

Concluding the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: There is not much time left from now until July 1, there is a lot of urgent work, so it is necessary to have high concentration in directing the completion of procedures, issuing decisions related to the organization of the apparatus for announcement. Note, limit the organization of festivals, meetings, farewells; strictly prohibit the organization of festivals, congratulations on taking office, promotion due to the arrangement of administrative units according to the direction of the Central Government.

The Provincial People's Council Party Committee directed urgent preparations to organize the first session of the new Bac Ninh Provincial People's Council.
