Trong Dong and Lan Anh Stages are nearly thirty years old, in prime locations, are mid-range stage models with a capacity of thousands of spectators, leaving a deep impression on ordinary audiences and many famous artists. Talking about this "incident", a representative of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said that Lan Anh and Trong Dong have made an important contribution to building a diverse and rich performing arts environment in the locality.

The severe impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the strong explosion of technology, the trend of enjoying new art is one of the important reasons leading to the unfortunate stop of Lan Anh and Trong Dong. From the sad story of Trong Dong, Lan Anh and the impact from that on the cultural and entertainment life of the people, there needs to be a more thorough analysis of the existence of the public-private performance stage model in modern life, especially traditional art stages in the context of a strong shift in the trend of enjoying art and entertainment.

With an expanded perspective from the “phenomenon” of the Bronze Drum, Lan Anh can imagine the existence of private and public models in the future. The problem of maintaining the existence of many performing arts models, cinemas, and theaters needs to be thoroughly solved. The problem is not only innovation in repertoire, performance programs, audience approach, and attracting good artists, but also in how to invest in infrastructure, innovate technology, and equipment for performances. These are things that the private sector alone cannot achieve long-term effectiveness.
