From July 1, 2025, all ATM cards using magnetic stripe technology will stop accepting transactions across the entire banking system.

Banks are advising customers to proactively check the type of ATM card they are using.

If the back of the card has a black magnetic strip without an integrated chip on the front, the user needs to contact the bank soon to make the switch to a domestic chip card.

Card conversion can now be easily done at branches, transaction offices or via electronic banking channels (mobile banking) depending on each bank.

With integrated chip cards, users can continue to use them normally without needing to replace them./.
