Quickly arrest the subject who consecutively stole 3 motorbikes in the same area

On the afternoon of August 3, Long Kien Commune Police (An Giang Province) announced that they were temporarily detaining Tran Van Quai (born in 2002, residing in My Phu Hamlet, Long Kien Commune) to continue investigating and handling according to legal regulations for the act of "Theft of property".

Previously, at around 3:00 a.m. on July 31, Mr. Le Van Nhut (residing in My Phu hamlet) went to Long Kien commune police to report that a stranger had just stolen his family's motorbike with license plate 67N1-421.40.

While escaping, he was discovered and stopped by Mr. Nhut, so the subject ran away and left his vehicle behind.

At about 7:00 a.m. the same day, Mr. Vo Duy Khang (residing in My Phu hamlet) went to Long Kien commune police to report that a subject had broken into his house and stolen a motorbike with license plate 67L2-445.98.

After the two thefts occurred, Long Kien Commune Police went to the scene to inspect, coordinate with the Criminal Techniques Department of An Giang Provincial Police to collect traces, evidence, and extract camera footage.

Through the images recorded by the camera, the police suspect that the person who stole the car is Quai. At this time, Quai was not present in the area.

Using professional measures, Long Kien Commune Police invited Quai to the headquarters for questioning. Initially, the subject was evasive and refused to admit to stealing the vehicle. However, with the evidence collected, Quai had to admit to the crime.

Quai confessed that after stealing the motorbike with license plate 67L2-445.98, he sold it at a used motorbike shop in An Phu ward, Ho Chi Minh City for 8 million VND.

Through investigation, Quai also confessed that on July 27, he stole a motorbike with license plate 67L2-377.53 in My Phu hamlet, then sold it at the above-mentioned store. Long Kien commune police quickly recovered the evidence.

The case is being investigated and handled according to the provisions of law.
